Rest, Listen, and Begin Anew: A Journey of Pastoral Soul Renewal 2025
September 15 – Walking the Path of Wounds
As we care for others, do we sometimes touch upon our own unspoken inner wounds?
This workshop uses Rembrandt’s painting The Return of the Prodigal Son as a contemplative focus—gazing at the father’s tender hands and profound eyes—to guide us back into the embrace of our Heavenly Father, listening to the pain and longings deep within. Integrating trauma psychology with spiritual care, the course invites participants into a journey of healing and renewal through the “inner iceberg” metaphor, reflective writing, and small group sharing.
October 20 – Encountering Jesus Anew in Prayer
Do you long to experience God’s presence more deeply in prayer?
Rev. Yim will lead participants beyond familiar verbal prayers into a journey of soulful prayer. Through silence and listening, we will encounter Jesus afresh, allowing Him to touch the depths of our lives and bring renewal, restoration, and reshaping of our souls.
November 17 – Letting Go: Embracing the Flow and Grace of Life
Whether from past trauma or the weight of leadership and pastoral care, we often cling tightly to fear, control, and the pressure of “holding everything together.”
This workshop invites you to release these burdens and open your heart to receive God’s healing grace—a grace that does not demand perfection, but comes in surrender and trust. Through the creative process of pour painting, participants will experience the practice of letting go—releasing control, following the flow of paint, and welcoming the surprises and unexpected moments that emerge. Guided reflection and group sharing will then deepen this artistic experience into a journey of trust, surrender, and spiritual renewal.
