“…we went through fire and through water; yet you have brought us out to a spacious place.” (Psalm 66:12 NRSV)

When I visited White Rock, I saw what looked like a father son duo on a canoe sailing into the depth of the sea. I relate this to the faithfulness of our Father God, who is present with us in our troubles. He is with us when we go through deep waters; we will not drown when we go through rivers of difficulty. (Isaiah 43:2a) Through hardships, He refines us like silver. In His time, God delivers us out of hostility and lead us into a place of rest, comfort and strength. Even unto death, we need not fear because He has offered us salvation in Jesus as His ultimate plan!
