“So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.” (2 Corinthians 4:18)

Every spring season, I love seeing flowering trees filling the streets of Vancouver. Yet the time for viewing is so short, and even shorter when it rains. In no time petals fall everywhere covering the streets in pink. There is no exception that our bodies waste away like so, as well as everything we see and cherish on Earth. Praise the Lord that we have this assured hope of our inheritance and glory in heaven.

Apostle Paul was wise that as the servant of God, he was certain of the things above and hence had no fear in facing fiery trials. With heaven in mind, he expressed that:

  1. We shall please God above all and obey Him willingly, even in the matter of life or death (2 Corinthians 5:9-10)
  2. We shall not judge a person by worldly standards such as outward appearance and accolades but open our hearts to love, particularly God’s servants. (2 Corinthians 5:12, 16, 6:13)
  3. Set apart for the Lord and do not seek company with the wicked. (2 Corinthians 6:14-17)

Are we willing to follow suit? I believe whenwe are willing, God will complete it!
