These 3 plants sat on our balcony through thewhole winter and I thought they were dying. The one with the orange flowers had 2 leaves left (one was yellow and withered) and one with purple leaves had only one stem left. I honestly was not hopeful that the strawberry plant could survive more than one season and through the harsh winter. Last week, I saw the sign of life coming back as you can see on the photo making me speechless. I am reminded of the words of the song, the Hymn of Promise,
In the bulb, there is a flower
In the seed, an apple tree
In cocoons, a hidden promise
Butterflies will soon be free
Inthe cold and snow of winter
There's a spring that waits to be
Unrevealed until its season
Something God alone can see
Inthe past couple years, the condition of the world we live in may seem like aharsh winter that never ends - the different waves of Covid pandemic, earthquakes, wars in Myanmar and Ukraine, Texas school shooting, humantragedies and natural disasters keep happening. While we feel that life ishopeless, may we remember that the lamb on the throne who became one of us andwalked with us through the darkest of human experiences has already claimedvictory. He is going to make all things new. From everlasting to everlasting, He is God!
