In the "Holistic Health of Servant Leaders" class, I am grateful for our principal’s teaching, which helped me understand the concept of deconstruction and reconstruction. This is something I will benefit from for the rest of my life. In the past, when faced with many challenges and changes in life, I would always try my best to plan and attempt to control these situations within my understanding. Gradually, I realized that my peace comes from my ability to control, and in doing so, I slowly drifted away from following God with a simple heart.
When it comes to deconstruction, this was unacceptable to me at all, because deconstruction represents confusion and a sudden loss of direction. However, this time, through the process of deconstructing and reconstructing an artwork in class, I realized that "without deconstruction, there is no new possibility." Every deconstruction is a new lesson, and through this deconstruction, new possibilities are formed. God always knows what we do not know, but often, it requires our faith and surrender for God's calling in our lives to be revealed.
Deconstruction and reconstruction are a journey of becoming, and also a journey of homecoming.
It is restoration; and it is also creation.
It is deconstruction, and it is also reconstruction.
