Our eyes can never gaze directly into sunlight unless the eyes themselves bear a resemblance to the sun. Similarly, the soul cannot perceive beauty unless it has first become beautiful itself. In this sense, anyone who seeks to behold beauty must first become beautiful. This means aligning their inner world with the perception of beauty. Only by doing so can one achieve a complete, ultimate, and profound perception of beauty.
