Dear Heavenly Father,

Today, I reflect on the unexpected fall I experienced during my run on January 11, 2025. It was a moment that reminded me of the fragility of human life and, while also revealingYour protective hand, shielding me from greater danger and harm.

The weather has been beautiful during my time in Hong Kong, and I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to enjoy these precious days. As I prepared to return to Vancouver this afternoon, I decided to go for a short run in the park near my house—a familiar path where I have run many times before. Initially, I planned to have breakfast, but I changed my mind to savor one last moment of the serene scenery.

I was running slowly, enjoying the peaceful surroundings, when suddenly I tripped on an uneven step. The force of the fall caught me completely off guard, and I lost my balance. I thought I could break the fall with my hands, but the impact was far greater than I anticipated. My head hit the ground before my hands could shield me. It was a simple and ordinary misstep, yet it turned into a moment of real danger.

As I reflect on this incident, I am struck by Your miraculous protection. My left glasses frame shielded my head and face from a direct impact, while my front teeth absorbed much of the force, protecting my jaw and lower face. Despite the severity of the fall, You safeguarded me from serious injuries to my neck and head. I am deeply grateful for Your presence in that crucial moment, saving my life and shielding me from even greater harm.

Father, as I reflect on that critical moment, I am reminded of how vulnerable life is. The fall reminded me that life is not something we can control or take for granted; everything can change in an instant. Without Your divine protection, my life could have ended abruptly in that moment. This realization has given me a deeper understanding of how fleeting life can be. It made me question the meaning of all my past achievements—what value do they hold if life can vanish so suddenly?

God, I thank You for saving me and giving me this opportunity to reflect. This incident has reminded me that nothing in life is guaranteed, and everything we hold dear is a gift. It has inspired me to treasure the time I have left and to consider on how I can live a meaningful and purposeful life for You. What should I prioritize in the days ahead? How can I prepare myself to serve You wholeheartedly? Time is precious, and once it is gone, it cannot be regained. Father, help me to spend my days wisely and align my life with Your will. Thank You, Father, for this reminder of Your love and grace. May this experience shape how I live, helping me to treasure each day and dedicate my life fully to You.

In Jesus’ name,

Amen
