The passing of a beloved wife left an indelible scar on his life. Over the years, it has not been a journey of “recovery” from pain, but rather of learning to carry it, to live alongside the trauma, and to seek a way forward from within. As a theologian, he has walked a path shaped by trauma theory and the lived experience of faith—one that confronts grief with honesty and rebuilds the resilience of life.

This lecture is neither an academic presentation nor an emotional outpouring. It is a theological reflection and testimony of faith that emerges from the depths of trauma. In this space where brokenness and hope intertwine, Dr. Andres Tang invites us to reflect together: In a life that cannot be restored, can we still cultivate a new form of resilience? Amid profound sorrow, how does faith empower us to carry on?
