The church is called to be a holy community, united in the love of Christ. Yet in reality, it is often marked by division, conflict, power struggles, and even violence—leaving many disillusioned and wounded. Faced with these stumbling blocks, some choose to walk away, while others search tirelessly for a “better church,” only to discover that no perfect church exists.

As members of Christ’s body, how can we, like Jesus, love the church to the very end? How do we confront the pain caused by these stumbling blocks and seek healing and hope?

We invite you to join us in reading Dr. Hsieh Mok-shui’s Love the Church to the End? Rethinking Church Scandals through a Theological Lens. Together, we will reflect on how to bear the weaknesses of the church, and how—amid wounds—we might find grace, reconciliation, and healing.

Let us read, reflect, and wrestle together in fellowship, walking alongside one another as we grow and learn the heart of Christ.
